killing fields | S21 Prison
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Easily reachable by air from anywhere in SEA or the rest of the world. There is a direct train that lasts around 30 minutes and takes you to the rail station in the city.
You can also book a shuttle bus easily upon arrival. This makes a few stops along the way so it’s not quite as fast.
The cheapest option is the city bus which makes multiple stops along the way and ends at the Night Market.
There are multiple bus companies that operate within Cambodia as well as if you’re coming from Vietnam or Thailand.
Killing Fields and S21 Prison: Worth a guide or an audio guide to really learn and understand what happened. It is a heavy day but extremely important to acknowledge and remember.

2 days is plenty, you’ll want to spend more time in the rest of the country.
If you´re going international you´re knocking at Vietnam’s door to the east and Thailand isn’t too far off to the west. If you´re staying domestic then Siem Reap or the beach are the most common next stops. Check out the travel pages on what you need to know before going to Thailand or Vietnam.
