Wondering what to do in Beijing? What’s NOT to do?! Like much of China you’ll see the past mixed with present everywhere you go. It’s slightly overwhelming and quite intimidating, especially if it’s your first stop in China but give it a second and it’ll win you over with everything it has to offer.

Chinese food might look a bit different in China than the take out you’re used to back home. It’s easy to get intimidated and often times it’s hard to ask questions if you don’t speak Mandarin. I know some brave souls who just point to something and hope for the best. Sometimes it’s good to find places with pictures on the menu instead – but however you strategize don’t be afraid to dive in – that’s why you came here after all, right? China has a ton of different cuisines across regions and Beijing is the perfect place to find a wide variety.
