Traveling to the Gili Islands completely changed my outlook on relaxation. I quite enjoy the beach but am very much a do-er on vacation and after one day of lounging I can get a bit antsy. Not so here. I could’ve spent the rest of forever on these tiny islands that have everything you need in paradise. It would seem that they live up to the name they have made for themself worldwide. When you’re here, everything else seems to fade away and without even trying you begin to just appreciate the moment.

Gili Islands

Gili Trawangan (Gili T)
The largest and most well known Gili T is a backpackers haven which brings with it, like all things, pros and cons. It has the infrastructure for tourists along with lots to do and if you’re looking for a good time then you’ve found it. On the other hand it if you’re looking for a quiet getaway this might not be the best place.
The smallest island that is perfect for a romantic getaway or a quiet escape.
Gili Meno
Gili Air
My favorite of the three, Gili Air is the perfect balance between the two. There is fun nightlife but it’s easy to get away from that as well. You can find your own little slice of the paradise or meet tons of fun new friends.
