If you’re coming by air then you’ll fly into Chişinău International Airport. Minibus Taxi 165 can be taken directly from the airport that takes you to Ismail Street in the city center. Buy your ticket onboard (with cash) for about $0.2 USD. There is also an Express A Bus but it doesn’t have space for luggage and you might have to stand. It also doesn’t have any AC for the crowded summer months. Taxis can be taken directly from the airport and shouldn’t be more than $8 USD.
Trains are available but often very slow. If you’re coming from a nearby country the bus is usually the cheapest and quickest option. Check with your accommodation for schedules. Often times they are mini vans that leave when full. Take a cab from the bus station to your accommodation or the city center. Neither station is walkable with luggage.
Once you’re here getting around town is easy on foot and small day trips can be taken from minivans that depart from the market.
