Coming: Fly here from Saigon or take a ferry from Cambodia. Once you’re here, take a motorbike around or walk.
Sleeping: Mia Homestay – The owners were so nice and really helpful. It was located a short walk from a quiet beach as well as some good restaurants and the rooms were clean and the vibe very laid back. They have a kitchen to cook your own food as well as a few items you can order.
Overall: 7.5/10 Price: $6.25 for a dorm Average for the island
Eating: Just like anywhere else in Vietnam, any and all Vietnamese food you can get your hands on!
Doing: Beach it up, take a motorbike around the island, or head to Vinpearl amusement park.
Beach: Phu Quoc has some lovely untouched beaches but resorts are going up FAST so hurry! We mostly spent our time lounging beachside with very few other tourists and beautiful weather. It’s a really great place to just go and get away for a bit.
You can rent motorbikes for the day and bike around the island to see more.
Cost: Roughly 180,000 ($8 USD)- 250,000 ($11 USD) VND /day depending on the bike. Ask your accommodation, they should either have some available for rent or will be able to point you in the right direction. There are some great beaches located all over the island.
Vinpearl is a water and amusement park located on a resort. If you need a break from the sand, head here for the day. More information HERE but I am not sure about the pricing.
Staying: A few days relaxing on the beach and a day to explore the island was perfect for me!
Going: Ferry over to Cambodia or fly back to Saigon where you can hear north or bus to Cambodia.
